There were nine who were ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacon by Cardinal Roger Mahony at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels last June 13.
These deacons, together with their wives, who are members of the Mother Teresa Formation Class of 2009, have undergone a five-year period of study, service and prayer in preparation for their ministry as permanent deacons, for which they will be assigned to their home parishes.
It is with great joy to let everyone know that one of the deacons ordained is our very own Romy Ligot of the Couples for Christ Southern California - South Bay chapter.
Here's the brief profile of the new deacon couple as announced, including some of their current ministries.
Romeo and Priscilla Ligot : St. Pancratius, Lakewood, California
Romeo is an administrative manager and Priscilla is an account management specialist. They are involved in ministry to the sick and bereavement ministry.
